As the School of Dance’s Executive Secretary, Sean is responsible for various duties such as front office care and maintenance, facility maintenance and making sure the faculty, staff and students of the School have everything they need. Sean is originally from Pennsylvania and is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Media Studies.

While at PSU, he completed the Air Force ROTC program earning him an officer’s commission. He served on active duty for a little over seven years in the Contracting and Public Affairs career fields. Sean has been stationed in New Hampshire, Germany and Utah and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005. In 2006, Sean had the unique opportunity to travel the world with the Air Force’s premier entertainment showcase, Tops in Blue. On the tour he performed as a vocalist and served as the group’s Operations Officer overseeing the performing troupe’s travel and other logistical functions, public affairs and services functions.

Sean left the Air Force in October 2007 to pursue a career in the performing arts. He has been seen across the Wasatch Front at various venues to include Hale Centre Theatre, The Grand Theatre, Salt Lake Acting Company and The Egyptian Theatre (Park City). Some of his favorite roles include Papa Ge in “Once on this Island” (HCT and The Grand), Belize in “Angels in America: Parts I & II” (SLAC), Willie Johnson in “Miss Evers’ Boys” (The Grand) and Reverend Sykes in “How to Kill a Mockingbird” (HCT).

In his spare time, Sean also works as a Customer Service Representative at Hale Centre Theatre and will be continuing his education int he Arts Administration and non-profit business arenas. He also has an orchid that he’s desperately trying to keep alive!

Sean was awarded the College of Fine Arts Staff Excellence Award for Exceptional Service in the College in 2021.
