Brian Pappal


Brian Pappal is a pianist, vocalist, conductor, and composer based in Salt Lake City where he works as a staff accompanist at the University of Utah School of Dance and at Ballet West. Prior to moving to Utah, Brian lived in North Carolina where he was a member of the North Carolina Master Chorale Chamber Choir, a pianist at Carolina Ballet, and Music Director for a large Presbyterian Church. He works regularly as a collaborative classical pianist and has performed and recorded extensively as a jazz pianist.  Brian has composed for choral and instrumental ensembles and for dance. His compositions have been featured on public television and radio and are published by ECS Publishing Group and Cherry Classics. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP). Brian received his Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Duquesne University and is currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from BYU. When not thinking about or making music, Brian enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his wife, Ashley, and rescue pooch, Ella.
