Mary Joy Weber Nuttall

MFA Candidate

Mary Joy Weber Nuttall, originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, studied ballet at Jacqueline’s School of Ballet. She participated in Prix de Lausanne, and Youth America Grand Prix. She was awarded scholarships to John Cranko School in Stuttgart Germany and National Ballet of Canada’s Ballet School in Toronto. She attended the John Cranko School as well as Netherlands Dance Theater's programs. Mary danced with Utah Metropolitan Ballet from 2008-2016 and performed many roles including White Swan, Sugar Plum, Ucanogos from the company’s signature ballet Legend of Timpanogos. Mary's choreography has been performed at Utah Valley University, Regional Dance America, and in Utah Metropolitan Ballet’s Choreography Design Concert where her piece, We 9 Move Lightly was awarded first place in the professional division. Mary has her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet from Utah Valley University. For the last 10 years she has been teaching at Jacqueline’s School of Ballet and for the last 5 she has directed their contemporary concert. Mary is currently pursing her Masters in Fine Arts in Ballet from University of Utah.
