Hello University of Utah Dancers and Choreographers!

My name is Darcie Day, and I am a current dancer with Wasatch Contemporary Dance Company. On behalf of WCDC, I am thrilled to invite you to our summer dance and choreography workshop Movers + Makers. From June 12-14, 2025, this event is a 3-day professional dance intensive that will hone your craft whether you are a contemporary dancer or choreographer. 

With a personalized approach, the two tracks allow artists to choose their preferred role in a three day rehearsal process. If interested in choreography, apply for the “Maker” track, and apply for “Mover” track if interested in performance. The “Mover” track in this intensive will also serve as auditions for WCDC’s 16th season. 

This workshop provides the opportunity to take amazing and diverse classes from professional artists, as well as performing in a showcase and collaborating with other dancers across the nation. Personally, this intensive opened up my sphere of connections and gave me a better sense of the professional dance community while still in college and following graduation. 

A few scholarships are available for the "Mover" track to university students to attend the workshop for FREE so please fill out the scholarship application below! We are also offering work study options for those looking to use their other skill sets.
