Makayla attended the University of Utah where she received a BFA in Musical Theatre. She has been sewing since she was young and began to explore costume design by designing shows for her high school's theatre department. During that time, she designed and built costumes for everything from musicals like Legally Blonde to straight plays like A Midsummer Night's Dream and Eurydice. While attending university, she carried her love for costumes over to her work as a dresser for Pioneer Theatre Company. Her most recent theatrical work was as a costume designer for Tooele Valley Theatre's production of Twelfth Night. While her most recent employment as a Bar Manager had her crafting more cocktails than costumes, she is very excited to return to her artistic roots as a member of the costume shop team!
