Katrina McPherson at the University of Utah

This Spring choose one of two ways to study with internationally renowned Screendance artist and author Katrina McPherson at the University of Utah

Screendance Capstone: Advanced Theory and Production

This course provides in-depth investigation, theory, and production of Screendance, and provides context and mentorship for the capstone project required for those pursuing the Graduate Certificate in Screendance. Students are provided with advanced concepts for exploration in both theoretical and creative aspects of this hybrid, interdisciplinary art form, as well as exposure to issues of dissemination, curation, and advanced critical analysis of the field at large. The course will culminate in a final capstone screendance project.

Course Structure: Ms. McPherson will conduct the course as hybrid in design, with intensive, in-situ teaching sessions in-residence* at the beginning and towards the end of the semester on the University of Utah Campus, and the rest as an online course of study comprising remote tutorials, mentoring and course work.
