Hiring: Visiting Assistant Professor in the Ballet Program

The Ballet Program is Hiring!

The School of Dance in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Utah invites applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in our Ballet Program, to begin August 2018.

The Ballet Program is in an exciting period of growth with the largest number of BFA in Ballet students in history, a recently updated curriculum that balances physical practice with academic rigor, and a reinvigorated MFA in Ballet program. As such, we seek candidates who demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of ballet from classical to contemporary iterations. Successful candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the teaching demands for tenure in a research university and must clearly communicate a personal research agenda that clearly contributes to the continued development of the field of ballet as a site of creative and/or scholarly inquiry.
