UBSI Online Kicks Off Today!

The annual Utah Ballet Summer Intensive begins today, marking the School’s first ever online Intensive. UBSI is a four week training program, bringing together world renowned faculty including current artists, ballet masters, and Artistic Directors, all skilled in their craft and expert educators. Combining classical ballet technique and creative explorations, UBSI provides an excellent preparation for dancers entering university settings and professional companies.

“My Assistant Director, Laura Kay Young, and myself along with Glenda Staples, Administrative Manager, set to work to simplify and streamline classes that could more readily fit an online format,” says UBSI Director Maggie Tesch. “These are challenging times but dancers still need to train. I feel confident that the faculty and the students that are joining us virtually will have a wonderful experience working together on very detailed technique and a very refined approach to dance that will only serve the dancers well when they are able to return to a studio.”
