The University of Utah’s Departments of Modern Dance, Film & Media Arts and the Center for Latin American Studies have announced the 10th International Screendance Festival, VideoDanza! Screendance from Latin America.

The future of dance can be found at the Marriott Center for Dance.

In a collaboration between the Department of Physical Therapy and the Department of Modern Dance, Assistant Professor Juan Carlos Claudio and University of Utah alumna Lennie Swenson are using their training in dance, creative movement, and physical therapy to battle one of movement’s greatest enemies: Parkinson’s disease (PD).

To launch her series “Fusion: Art & Social Justice,” Department of Modern Dance Visiting Assistant Professor A’Keitha Carey has arranged for Dr. Ananya Chatterjea to visit the University of Utah for two separate events, a performance and a lecture.
