New interdisciplinary course explores the body in cinema
Beginning spring 2016, the University of Utah Department of Film and Media Arts and the Department of Modern Dance will offer a new course titled The Body & The Screen.

Grey Matters - Dance for Parkinson's Disease Class Offered at the U
In a collaboration between the Department of Physical Therapy and the Department of Modern Dance, Assistant Professor Juan Carlos Claudio and University of Utah alumna Lennie Swenson are using their training in dance, creative movement, and physical therapy to battle one of movement’s greatest enemies: Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Associate Professor Eric Handman in Portland, Oregon July 19, 2014
Eric Handman has a had a busy summer. First, his Disappearing Days received an Honorable Mention nod at the ACDFA National Conference in Washington D.C., and now his choreography has beat out some stiff competition to be included in the Northwest Dance Project’s Pretty Creatives show on July 19, 2014.
