BFA student and Ballet West Trainee Janae Korte promoted to Ballet West II

The School of Dance is pleased to congratulate Janae Korte on her promotion to Ballet West II. A sophomore this year in the School of Dance Ballet Program and a second year U of U/Ballet West joint trainee, Ms. Korte will join the company this January for their tour, dancing repertory by Bournonville, Nicolo Fonte, Christopher Ruud and Peggy Dolkas. You can also find her on stage over the next few weeks dancing company roles in the Nutcracker around her scheduled finals.

The U of U/Ballet West Joint Trainee Program is in its fourth year. An incredible professional opportunity for students in the Ballet Program, University of Utah students invited to train at Ballet West Academy receive opportunities to perform with both the main company, Ballet West II and at the university. The training is rigorous and provides pre-professional level students exposure to life in a company, all while working on their BFA in ballet.
